The Pressure & Vacuum Relief Valve is a device which prevents evaporation losses while protecting the tank from possible damaging effects of over pressure over vacuum.
Pressure Relief - ( Out Breathing ) When the vapor space pressure within a storage tank exceeds the Set point the pressure relief vent open to release vapor from the tank until the pressure is reduced below the set point.
Vacuum Relief – (In Breathing) When a vacuum is created within a storage tank and exceeds the set vacuum point the vacuum vent opens to admit atmospheric air in to the storage tank until a vacuum is reduced to set point.
